This is my fourth term representing the Class of 2008 in the Student Senate. For my commitment and enthusiasm, former Grand Marshal Carlos Perea recognized me with the 2006-2007 Senator of the Year Award.  I welcome your interests and comments throughout the year so that I can continue to vigorously serve the student body.

The Student Senate at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute serves and represents the interests of the student body, developing projects and passing legislation within the RPI Union involving academic affairs, facilities, student rights, and all other topics pertinent to the student body. The Senate meets regularly each Monday night at 6:30 pm in Union 3202.

Welcome to the New Term!

We are pleased to welcome back all students to RPI for the new semester, especially members of the Class of 2008! Freshman elections are coming up later this month and fast approaching. If you are interested in running for an elected position, check out the Rules and Elections website for more details, including the elections handbook. Good luck!

This site will see many updates as we begin work on a new set of initiatives and projects under Grand Marshal Kara Chesal '09. Minutes from our previous meetings will soon be updated.

myRPI Launches

myRPI is a website for students, by students at RPI. The site allows you to submit new photos, front page designs, quotes, and interesting factoids for the entire community to see. In addition, students can submit new useful links to the site and vote them up or down. Finally, myRPI allows the student body to easily get in touch with the Student Senate regarding many different types of issues, ranging from class problems to new program proposals.

Check it out now. Your RPI is myRPI.
